We have three hutches that we built ourselves and they are in our backyard. We also have two stackable cages, a three hole cage and a six hole cage. We currently have 13 rabbits in our herd. Our rabbitry is small, but we like it that way. It allows us to give each rabbit plenty of attention, time, and care.
All of our rabbits are kept in appropriately sized cages with plastic floor mats to provide comfort for their feet and prevent sore hocks. We worm our rabbits every 6 months, we check their fur and ears for mites, we give them toys & empty soda cans to play with, and our cages and accessories are frequently cleaned and sterilized so that all of our rabbits are happy and healthy. During the summer we try to make sure that they are in the shade and we put frozen water bottles in their cages to help them keep cool.
