  • Rabbits are not rodents. They belong to a family called "lagomorphs".
  • Rabbits are nocturnal so they are most active between dusk and dawn.
  • A domestic rabbit's lifespan is 8-12 years.
  • Rabbits are social animals and need the companionship of humans as well as affection.
  • When a rabbit is happy, he will click his teeth.
  • If your rabbit has an outdoor hutch, make sure it is high enough off the ground to protect him from predators.
  • A rabbit will lick and nibble on it's owner to express affection.
  • A male rabbit is called a buck.
